[RETRACTED ARTICLE]Isolation of curcumol from zedoary turmeric oil and its inhibitory effect on growth of human hepatocellular carcinoma xenografts in nude mice

This study investigated the inhibitory effect and mechanism of curcumol on growth human hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) HepG2 xenografts in nude mice. Curcumol was isolated from zedoary turmeric oil. The xenograft model mice established. Forty modeled were divided into model, cisplatin, cisplatin+curcumol groups. latter three groups treated with 2 mg/kg 100 cisplatin combined curcumol, respectively, once every two days, for total seven times. After treatment, compared group, group tumor weight inhibition rate obviously increased, apoptosis cells expression levels Caspase-3 B-cell lymphoma-2 associated X proteins significantly level protein decreased. In addition, thymus index spleen animal had no significant difference between group. conclusion, additional use can increase HCC may be related to enhanced promotion tumor.
